Carmen’s Tunics for the twins!

posted in: Babies & Kids, Sewing | 3

I have to say I fell in love with this pattern!  It is a .pdf pattern that I bought on Etsy from LilleSkapet… Carmen’s Tunic.  Not only was it reasonably priced but it went together very easy.  The only thing I did different is that the author mentioned that testers with slim little girls found the neckline a little big, so I used the front & back pieces of the size 4 which is what my girls are wearing & then I used the neck pieces, arm & bottom cuffs from the size 3.  The fabric is a Flap Happy Jungle Floral & Flap Happy Pink Zebra which are a 95% cotton 5% spandex blend heavy jersey knit fabric from www.naturesfabrics.com.

I think I only spent 1 hour total cutting out & sewing these tops?  The twins LOVE them & they fit their sassy attitudes, that’s for sure!  We ran a few errands today and everyone kept commenting on how cute they were.

Thank you SO much for mentioning changing the neck for the skinny minny’s in our lives. I made a 5 and knew right away when I tried it on my DD that I would have to go down for the neck opening. I’m just glad I found something that confirmed it lol!
