Ruffle Pants M2M Gymbo Watercolor Top!

posted in: Babies & Kids, Sewing | 3

I know, it’s been a while!  I am currently in the middle of cleaning my death trap I call my sewing room for the SM Stash Game I am getting ready to participate in again next month.  So I got a sewing fix for the week & thought I would share.  Look forward to a sewing room before & after post and LOTS of new projects next month!

I really LOVE this gymboree top that I got on sale but didn’t care for the bottoms gymbo has to match. So I decided to make a pair of ruffle pants to go with it! It didn’t take me to long to whip up two pairs for the twins.

Originally I went to get the one of the pinks or periwinkle that was in the top, but I wanted linen & the colors they had at the store just didn’t match! But I found this lovely aqua blue that is perfect (it matches my sewing room too ). I like the way the linen drapes instead of being stiff like some of the cottons & cotton blends that people often use. I did a rolled hem to keep the flowiness of the ruffles.

Baylie is sick today, so only Carlie. What do you think?

I have about 3/4 a yard of the linen left so I’m trying to figure out what to make for me!

Great job Kymy, they look fantastic and very comfortable.
Did you use a pattern or are they free hand?
I really like the colour too.
