The Simply Sweet Frock

posted in: Sewing, Tutorials | 1

One down side to reading a lot of sewing blogs & belonging to sewing forums is that you see a lot of things you just GOT to have.  One dress pattern that has been making its way around is the Sugar City Village Frock.  The only problem is 1.) it was pricey at $16 2.) she closed up shop & you can no longer buy it!  There is actually a similar pattern in one of the Ottobre Design Magazines as well.  I along with many other ladies have been drooling after this pattern & trying to track down copies for a while.

Well imagine my happy surprise when someone drafted up a cute simple frock with a similar neckline & put it on their blog for FREE!  I have to say I like this one even better then the SC Frock & I think the fit is much more appealing to me.  The down side is that it only comes in sizes 2, 4 & 5, but it should be pretty simple to adjust up or down a size.  Anyways I am in LOVE with the Simply Sweet Frock from Simply Together and simply had to share with my readers.  The directions don’t have step by step photo’s but it includes a full size printable pattern (warning it is slow to load at times).  So hop on over to her blog & check it out!

Thank you so much for finding this and posting on your blog so others in desperate search for the SC frock can still make something similar!
