FALALA FUDGE!

I have wrapped up nearly all my holiday sewing so it’s time to move on to the yummy stuff :).  Today my mission is FUDGE.

I have to say a few years ago I stumbled upon a fudge recipe on the back of a can & I have been hooked since!  Not only is it quick & easy but it is hard to mess up & it comes out SO smooth!!!  It is the recipe on the back of some cans of Eagle Brand Sweet and Condensed Milk, and even made with their reduced fat milk it is super yummy.  I will tell you, it is called ‘Foolproof Chocolate Fudge‘ for a reason! I don’t like nuts in mine & skip the dash of salt so it literally uses just 3 ingredients & takes less then 15 minutes start to finish (minus the time to set up).  Also if you can find the swirled Nestle chips that are flavored (peanut butter, raspberry & mint) they work great for making flavored fudge with this recipe!  The best part?  This time of year S&C milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips are on sale at most stores so I can make a whole batch for around $2.50 or less most of the time.

Not only is it a great treat for gatherings but you can get those cute containers & mini-take out boxes at the dollar store & fill them with fudge which makes a great affordable gift that doesn’t take up space and is great for the person that has everything!

SO upon finding the recipe on their site to make sure I had the recipe right (I bought generic S&C milk this time) I found they have a bunch more recipes that use their same base ‘Foolproof Chocolate Fudge’ recipe and they sound good.  And since I don’t need 10lbs of fudge (each batch makes about 2lbs) I’m going to have to choose just a few.  So I thought I would go ahead & share my yummy goodness with my readers while I was at it, so enjoy & Happy Holidays!

My mother made fudge with this recipe every Christmas for everyone in our family. This is our first Christmas without her. I made this fudge this week and it’s just like hers. Brings back great memories and luckily it truly is so easy!
