My version of the Naartjie Easter Dress

Well I saw this post the other day & fell in LOVE with this dress…

SOOO I decided to make my own newborn style version! This is my second self drafted pattern, but this is the first one that I have had anything to trace or anything… it was lots of guess work & sketching! I am surprised to have only made a few errors… Next time I will make the points a little longer, but other wise I am very happy with it. Its very princess like. It’s a little big yet cause they are still swimming in the width of 6-12m clothes… but it will also make a really cute tunic style twirly top when they are 12-18m. Its just made of muslin, but it will make a great light weight summer dress!

Anyways this one is gonna be a gift & I need to make 2 for the girls now! The zipper was the trickiest part! I used an invisible zipper, but I had to put it on an angle to go with the flow of the dress… but it really is invisible!

Baylie woke up at 10PM… so she got to model
