An exciting day!

So not only did Zander graduate from the 3/4 yr old preschool class today, but the ’61 Lincoln that has been sitting in the driveway & rusting away for the last 4 years was picked up today!  I have been trying to sell it for B on & off for a while, but it is a complete restore project… most people didn’t want to put the time into it… until a month ago :).  A nice gentleman in the LA area called & said he wanted it!  He offered less then we were asking, but when B heard that he wanted to restore it (not use it as a parts car like most) he said ‘okay, get it out of the driveway!’.  So after a week the gentleman arranged to have his father who lives only 6 hrs away to come pick it up for him.

So this afternoon he arrived with trailer in tow.  I got home just in time to take a picture as they were getting ready to head out.  The best part?  The guy said he will send us some pictures when he gets it finished & normally it takes less then 6 months!  I am VERY glad to have it gone, and so is B, but we are both excited that a beautiful old car is going to be restored the way it should be!
